Between student-led venture development programs and technology transfer programs, the collegiate contribution to the global economy is substantial and growing. And yet, it could be so much greater. The most common lament among collegiate entrepreneurship and technology transfer administrators is that their ventures lack access to capital.

The premise of ICAN is that university alumni, supporters, and boosters can and will invest in student- and faculty-led ventures with the same enthusiasm they bring to collegiate athletics if they have an appropriate platform to analyze and make decisions about their investments.
